On June 17, 2023, K9 Zhukov successfully passed the annual AMPWDA (American Mantrailing, Police & Work Dog Association) national certification.
To pass, he had to successfully find 13 different explosives in various environments.
K9 Zhukov is a 5-year-old Shep/Malinois cross from Slovakia; he and Pennsylvania State Constable Matthew Atwood are able to serve anywhere in the United States of America, Canada or Mexico. They work with various agencies and have provided explosives detection support at events and arenas.
